On Wednesdays, I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.

I just finished Marianna Baer’s Frost and had my socks scared off.
Full disclaimer: I happen to be acquainted with Marianna, but that in no way diminishes how wonderful (and terrifying) and interesting (and holy crap scary) this book was. I loved the details about boarding school, architecture, cooking and even math. This is really a well-written story with interestig characters that feel incredibly real. Don’t make the mistake I did, however, and read this one when you’re home alone. At night. In the dark.
If you like supernatural stories, rich with detail—
Go forth and find this book.
