On Wednesdays, I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.

Coe Booth’s YA novels are masterpieces of characters, rich with voice. Her first novel for middle grade readers is just as good. This story has a little something for everyone: family drama, responsibility, basketball, horror movies, and first crushes. Kinda Like Brothers is a story I zipped through over the weekend. I can’t recommend it enough. Read her interview with NPR here.
If you’re looking for a fun middle grade story, full of heart–
Go forth and find this book.
