On Wednesdays, I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.
Blue Mountain by Martine Leavitt is a delightful, heart-warming middle grade adventure. I have to confess that I’m usually not a fan of novels with animals as characters, but this story is the exception to the rule for me. It’s a well-told story of strength and survival, leadership and sacrifice. The characters are distinct and lovable. Readers of all ages will enjoy this story.
