On Wednesdays, I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.
Audacity by Melanie Crowder is a newly-released historical fiction novel in verse that completely blew me away. The writing is beautiful and smart and rich. The story is riveting. The character is tenacious and determined and so very real. I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s a story of immigration, women’s struggles, workers’ rights, organization, family dynamics, and standing up for what you believe in.
