Easter approacheth. And nobody does it better than Antigua, Guatemala. Every year thousands of people flock to this lovely little town to experience the wonder that is Semana Santa – Holy Week. What’s all the fuss about? A traveler/blogger explains it here.

By far, the best part of Semana Santa in Antigua is being able to see the alfombras. Don’t know what an alfombra is? Well, I could tell you. But that would deprive you of the visual candy that you’ll get by googling it. So go do that instead.

This month I’ll be posting some of my favorite pics from the Semana Santa we spent in Antigua in 2012. Check back on Mondays and Fridays for more!
