Thanhha Lai’s second book, Listen, Slowly, is even better than her first. How did she do that?
This is a novel that will make you laugh and smile and tear up and feel warm all over. It will also make you hungry. I love stories where a character is discovering another culture – it’s a great way for the reader to discover it too. This book is equal parts hilarious and poignant. I can’t recommend it enough.
