On Wednesdays, I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.

Kate Beasley’s Gertie’s Leap to Greatness is a delightful middle grade read. Beautiful sentences; vivid, rich setting; interesting characters. The dialogue is often hilarious, the kid logic spot-on. It’s a satisfying story with a perfect ending that isn’t overly sweet. Run out to get this one soon.
