On Wednesdays, I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.
A few weeks ago I talked about The Poet’s Dog. This week I’m happy to pass along a similar (and similarly wonderful) title: Helen Frost’s Applesauce Weather. This middle grade verse novel has three points of view. It’s about the death of a loved one and the beauty of traditions. It’s full of love, joy, warmth, and sweetness. I loved it! And you will too. It’s one of those rare books that’s a good read for people ages 6 through 106. Enjoy!
