On Wednesdays I vow to inconsistently list some good books I’ve recently read.
Jessica Lawson is middle grade master. Her newest, Waiting for Augusta, has so many threads to admire: loss of a loved on, surprise plot twist, segregation of schools, road trip!, golf, friendships. And they’re all woven together with a great voice, excellent characters, and perfect middle grade tone. This is a good one, readers. Run out to get a copy soon.
